City Intensifies Dialogue to Advance Social Security

Jakarta Provincial Government together with Regional Representatives Council (DPD) held a coordination meeting in order to advance the awareness related to conflict and terrorism.

Djarot Saiful Hidayat, Jakarta Vice Governor, admitted that the security level in the capital is already good towards the end of year. Preparation to greet the Maulid, Christmas, and New Year Eve is already done.

“They key is communication. We command head of urban village to go to neighborhood unit (RW) area every Friday to detect any problem. We also visit sub-district area every week to hold a communication with local figure,” Djarot explained, Saturday (12/12).

Meanwhile, Irman Gusman, Head of RI DPD, stated that city’s security is barometer for Indonesia. He hoped all figures will be able to maintain the security well.

“We put our hope to governor and vice governor to assist this. Please conduct more communication, not only formal but also informal,” he stated.

Responding about terrorism, he added that citizens should not careless since the threat could appear anytime.
